CTIP™, MTIP™ & CONE+™ LABORATORY TESTS

For those with little or no scientific background, we’d like to share a summary of the laboratory test results conducted by Pharma Hemp d.o.o. (Slovenia) and the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (Czech Republic). This summary is written in simple English so that the key conclusions are clear to everyone.

The MTIP™ is a unique active filter currently undergoing extensive testing. It is made entirely of paper with minerals as the filtration medium. The plan is to launch MTIP™ in 2025, once the product is fully certified and production capacity reaches an acceptable level.

The tests provide an accurate indication of the filtering effect of MTIP™ & CTIP™ when smoking herbs with or without tobacco, focusing on the filtration of CBD, THC, and terpenes in the smoke filtered by the CTIP™.

The CTIP™ was compared against several leading brands of active filter tips currently sold worldwide. In this comparison, the CTIP™ (used in a pre-rolled cone, CONE+™) was tested against pre-rolled cones with standard paper filters or no filtration at all.

What are the results?

1. Tests show that other brands’ activated carbon filters absorb significantly more CBD and THC compared to CTIP™ filters.

2. Conducted tests reveal that very few to none of the 30+ tested terpenes are filtered out by CTIP™ filters.

3. All laboratory tests were also performed with the MTIP™ (the paper-housing version of the CTIP™). Most results were slightly lower compared to the CTIP™, but still far better than other brands’ activated carbon filters and standard paper filters.

Surprisingly, the scientific reports indicate that standard paper (cardboard) filters, used for decades, absorb more THC and CBD than a CTIP™! This is simply due to the large surface area the smoke passes through in a paper filter, causing THC and CBD to stick to the material. THC and CBD are exactly what consumers want, and with a CTIP™, they can be confident they’re getting better results.
